With the arrival of the new Dreamliner Airplanes that allowed a direct Gateway from Australia to the UK, Qantas gave us the challenge of making the Australian people really feel how close they could be to their loved ones in the UK.

Through an investigation process and ultimately partnering with the only Company in the world who believed it was possible, we made a Real time Video portal which made the hairs stand up on your neck when watching loved ones connect in such a palpable way. Authenticity was paramount with this one. This was not a completely smooth process, the project had continual challenges to overcome from weak signals to internet outages, to time delay issues but once seeing the look on people’s faces when they found out they were being flown home to see their family it made the struggles and jet lag from flying almost 60 hrs in 3 x days worth it.
